Day 3 Update

Well I fell back into the sin of posting only a few pics. Can I offer a few words of justification...

The battery was very low.  I got consumed with what was going on, and I spent a few hours discussing with the missionaries how to utilize some extra funds we have due to the generosity of some of you.  Pastor Dario from La Union is full time and makes 100 dollars a month. The room his four kids live in is smaller than my master bathroom, ashamedly. So much has happened at that site.  Today 105 people there became Christians! It is so inspiring to see God move like he is...ok, back to the story.  We are going to take $1200 of our extra funds and finance Dario at  $100 a month for a year.  That will double his current salary.  I told him our plans tonight...you should have seen his face.  I will let you know what we will be doing to support other missionaries here.  So please forgive the 3 picture post...

Today was another GOOD  GOD day. One of our groups led bible clubs in a hospital. Another did ministry in a local school.  Both were humbling.

Many of our visits were follow-up visits and the people are truly understanding their new life in Christ.

Everyone is doing well.  There is a little bit of a cold going around...sore throats and light fevers.  So pray against that.  Everyone is on the field at all times.  Everyone is pressing on.  There is a sense of urgency and conviction with what we are doing.  We feel like an army right now.

I am so proud of our adult leaders.  They are the greatest volunteers I have ever witnessed.  I am so grateful god has assembled the team that he has.  Ministry is truly fun with them.  Their gifts are in full operation this week.  There is nothing like the body of Christ when it is working right.

The students are experiencing a week that they will never forget and that will forever mark them.  They are maturing.  Many have stepped way out of their comfort zones.  They are seeing the beauty of the Christian life.  They are being stretched.  I am very proud of them.

Tomorrow is our last day of ministry.  The pace has been relentless.

Thursday we will go to the word of life bible institute to be with them in their chapel.  We will enjoy the fellowship and the diversity...and a big honkin fat steak...

Much love
